Welcome to my world, where skincare isn't just a passion, it's a way of life! Let me take you on a journey through my love affair with skincare that began way back in high school. Yep, I've been there – battling acne, trying to crack the code to the perfect skincare routine. The struggle was real!
My quest for answers led me down a rabbit hole of research through youtube and magazines - yea I grew up in the 90's / early 00's, diving into the depths of skin behavior, ingredient impacts, and all those mysterious underlying conditions. That hunger for understanding ignited my passion for skincare.
Life's journey has been quite the rollercoaster ride for me. Picture this: a detour from college led me to beauty school at 20, dreaming of being a hairdresser for some reason. But hey, life had other plans. I found myself painting nails and falling head over heels into the world of spas. Oh, the places I've been – even worked at the Chathams Bar Inn spa on Cape Cod!
Then, life did its thing. I crossed paths with my amazing husband, a military man. Cue the moves – military life, becoming a mom, you know how it goes! Each move brought new adventures. I ventured into the realm of makeup artistry, adapting to change as we moved around.
But then, a twist. Sadly, military life had to take a backseat when my husband, a hero with the 82nd Airborne, faced a medical discharge after his time spent jumping out of planes. Maine became our new anchor, but it wasn't easy. No family nearby, no familiar faces – just us three, navigating life's journey.
We've built our world here, one step at a time, creating our own little haven in Maine. And amidst all this, my love for skincare blossomed. Fast forward to going back to school at Empire Beauty School in New Hampshire, I continued my passion further for skincare and obtained my aesthetician license. this was probably the best day of my life right under the day my daughter was born in Alaska. After school I went right into working at a Medical Spa that was like a knowledge carnival – certifications, top-notch brands – you name it, I dived right in. That's where I realized my love for the medical side of aesthetics.
But then 2020 rolled in, bringing its lessons. It hit me – I craved a more personal touch in skincare, a connection beyond clinical procedures that felt like a revolving door of clients with no time to get to know each other better. So, I took a leap, waved goodbye to the medical spa, and birthed Alexsandra Esthetics.
My vision? Not just a spa, but a judgment-free zone where we vibe together. It's a place where we don't just tend to your skin; we nurture your soul. I bring that medical knowledge but lace it with simplicity. Empowerment is my game – arming you with the knowledge and tools to own that radiant, healthy skin.
